OUR HISTORY
The college is situated in a historical complex placed in the centre of Piacenza and is structured on two cloisters, the most ancient from the XVII century.
The building is the Mother House of the Missionaries of St. Charles, as wished by the bishop of Piacenza and father of the migrants, Blessed Monsignor Giovanni Baptist Scalabrini (1887 - 1905), to host the Congregation that today takes his name.

Custodian of the memories of the Founder and the Scalabrinian family, the Mother House is become in the time place of study and historical information on the Congregation; besides all represents now the point of spiritual reference for all the missionaries spread in the world, who also have it as a reference point for their permanent formation.

Within the premises is located the church of St. Charles Borromeo, Pastoral organization for the migrant of the Diocese.
The whole structure has been object of numerous renovation, that have highlighted its austere beauty. In a particular way, in full accord with the thought of the Founder, the renovations have been done to destine a part of it to be the college where students in need of accommodation may reside.
